The 2000 Limited Edition Fuente Fuente OpusX Travel Humidor by Prometheus

As the limited edition humidor for year 2000, Prometheus International, Inc. produced 1,000 Fuente Fuente OpusX travel/desk-top humidors: Red Madrona (400), Amboyna (300), Yellow Eye Maple (100), Macassar (100) and Walnut (100). The humidors came with the limited edition crystal black lacquer Prometheus FFOX V cutter and 20 FFOX cigars in assorted sizes. They were all serial-numbered for the authenticity. One of the humidor buyers won a trip to Dominican Republic which included a tour of the Fuente factory and dinner with the Fuente family. Five humidors from the limited edition collection with the 331 FFOX cigars were auctioned at Christie's New York at the end of 2000 for children's charity.

The humidors were produced in five different veneers:

Each finish came in the 20 cigar size except Red Madrona which were available in both 20 and 12 cigar sizes.

Each humidor was lined with mahogany inside and equipped with Prometheus Travel Humidity Regulator and Digital Hygrometer/Thermometer.

    Leather Carrying case embroidered with the FFOX TM logo
    Limited Edition FFOX™ V cutter
    20 assorted FFOX™ cigars as shown below

Fuente Fuente OpusX V Cutter

After two years of development, Prometheus produced Prometheus V cutter in the black crystal lacquer finish as the FFOX™ limited edition cutter. The cutter had the stainless steel blade which cuts regular or figurado cigars with a remarkable precision.

The humidor, cigars and cutter were all serial-numbered for the authenticity. The suggested retail price at that time was $1,500.00.

One of the humidor buyers won a trip to Dominican Republic which included a tour of the Fuente factory and dinner with the Fuente family.

Five humidors from the 1,000 L.E. humidors were auctioned at Christie's New York for children's charity at the end of this year. These five humidors, which were auctioned, came with the 331 FFOX TM cigars in 10 different sizes. The serial numbers and cigars for the five humidors were as following:
